Junior Office Administrator/ CAD Technician


An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious graduate/ college leaver with an interest in learning CAD (computer assisted designs)and to help out with day-to-day admin duties at our recently refurbished offices in rural Surrey.


This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and switched on candidate to develop on a professional level in a company where progression is encouraged. You will have the opportunity to take your career further if you wish to do so.


The Right Candidate would have :
A basic Civil Engineering background (HNC/HND Level). Excellent writing skills and grammar. Good communication skills. Creative and full of good ideas. Team player. Their own transport. To be keen, enthusiastic and have excellent attention to detail. The desire to work in a high-paced office environment. Self-motivation and be able to show initiative. To be Computer/IT literate, confident in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent organisational skills and confident telephone manner. To be adaptable to change and show flexibility if required to assist in other areas of the company. A high level of professionalism in order to liaise with clients, colleagues and suppliers. Good time keeping, be reliable and be able to prioritise work. Commercial office experience (This would be a benefit but this is not essential).


On-going training will be provided for the right applicant who has some basic knowledge and interest to learn CAD. The successful applicant will be mentored to produce outline drawings, general arrangement drawings, elevations along with the preparation of project documentation. As the junior CAD technician you will report to the CAD Manager and be supported by an experienced CAD technician.


Key Tasks:
Help screen incoming calls. Manage post and email. Greet visitors. Maintaining filing systems. Photocopying and binding. Updating of contact lists. Organisation of staff seminars. Preparing drawing issues. Using CAD.


A salary package is available and will be appropriate to the candidates experience.
